Caiden Media’s new business card.
I really want to post an article at least three times a week, but unfortunately I have found this more difficult than I previously assumed. This blog is suppose to serve as a self-promotion, networking, and informative project for myself, fellow web designer freelancers, and my clients. Well, obviously I haven’t been posting three times a week, but I am currently working out something to solve this problem so my goals may be met. I have though, been very busy working on projects for Caiden Media.

Bringing in Clients.
Before I actually started the business aspect of web developing, I was a bill collector. Yes, I was the one that called you when you where behind on your credit card payments. My goal was to sell you the idea that paying off your debt was a good thing. That is of course, after I sold you the idea not to hang up the telephone on me. The job, skills, techniques though I acquired through bill collecting has helped a lot with bringing in clients. For the longest time I had trouble finding paying clients. Than I realized something. In bill collecting, I wasn’t asking them to give me that 8 grand cash to pay off there debt, I was offering them a solution to there financial problems. Once I brought that though process into my freelancing as a web developer, things become more clear, and I started to bring in the clients. So, unless you have clients banging on your doorstep, spamming your inbox left and right, this little article could possibly to some good, read on! Hopefully, we will uncover some steps or ideas you haven’t thought of when selling yourself to a client.

Breaking into the Freelancing World of Web Developing.
Every freelancer has their own reason for becoming their own boss. For me, it was a matter of convenience, passion, and the simple strong desire to enter the field on my own accord, instead of waiting for someone to pick up my resume and hiring me to work for them. Making the choice to become a freelancer is a fairly easy one, you either want to or not, I believe, as it takes a certain person to want to tackle the uncertainties of the self-employed. The hardship in the matter is breaking into the field. This may present many hopeful freelancers with a serious challenges. This article is meant to help eliminate some of those challenges, or at least show those who wish to be freelancers to overcome those obstacles. I do fairly well as a part-time freelancer, bringing in roughly 600 a month on my freelancing gig. It is still not my ‘day job’, but I will show you what I did a year ago to officially get into the business.

Companies Identity & Client base
I am sure I am not the only one that runs into such a dilemma I am about to share. I believe that it simply comes down to personnel choice however, depending on where you see your business taking you, and where you want to go in the future.
The projects a company tackles will in the end, give that specific company its identity. In a nutshell, who you deal with is who you are.
